Endodontist Dr.Barton W. Putnam DDS, MSD
Dr. Bart Putnam has been working hard to provide quality Endodontic services for his patients since 1998. He has completed over 25,000 root canal procedures and has taught root canal procedures to students at UMKC School of Dentistry part-time for 10 years. Dr. Putnam has 16 years of high tech experience in root canal therapy. Including the Operating Microscope, Rotary Filing Systems, Digital Imaging, Apex Locators, Ultrasonic Instrumentation, a variety of irrigations to chemically clean the canals and recently a CBCT to see 3D images of the tooth and its surrounding bone. At this time, only 2 Endodontic practices in Kansas City have this type of technology. Being an Olathe North graduate, Dr. Putnam gives back to his community in a variety of ways. He has provided free root canals to health care organizations, he has participated in free dental care clinics in Olathe and Kansas City, and raises money for Cancer patients’ care at UMKC School of Dentistry through the “Pouring from the Heart” organization. Dr. Putnam started Olathe Endodontics right after graduating with his Masters degree in Endodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1998. He received his Biology and DDS degrees at UMKC in 1995. After graduating, Dr. Putnam was selected to a residency at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City. There he received a certificate in General Dentistry in 1996. “The VA gave me an appreciation for all veterans and the sacrifices they have made for our country and our freedom. I am etremely grateful for the experience I got at the VA.” Dr. Putnam is a member of the ADA, AAE, and the KC Endodontic Society. He is married and has three kids. He loves traveling, playing soccer, golf, and spending time with his family.
